For Lendava as a tourist destination, it is necessary to deal with destination management, which aims to optimise the effect of tourism for local residents as well as tourists. We need to increase the profit of local companies and multiply the effect of tourism – local manufacture, trade, cultural offer etc. In order to do that our institute implements activities such as:
– connecting organizations
– promoting and informing
– marketing
– education of tourist employees
– product and service development
Institute for Tourism and Development Lendava is legal successor of institute Svet mladih – Youth World. Since it’s establishment in 2013 the institute has dealt with youth positioning in local society, connecting the organisations, with free-time and sports activities. The institute gained competencies by organising and coordinating sports events, free-time activities, promoting and encouraging entrepreneurship.
Institute for Tourism and Development Lendava is established to connect and integrate institutions, to coordinate events, promote activities and entrepreneurship; it also implements development component and highlights the tourism development. By this, the institute implements the tasks of destination organisation and development agency, too.
